Charles Schwab has received the highest ranking in overall satisfaction
in the 2017 J.D. Power Full Service Investor Satisfaction Study. Schwab
also ranked highest in the 2016 J.D. Power Full Service Investor
Satisfaction Study.
With an index score of 838 on a 1,000-point scale in the 2017 Full
Service Study, Schwab scored 19 points above the overall satisfaction
industry average and received the highest scores in the areas of
“Product Offerings” and “Commission and Fees.”
“Since day one, our philosophy has been to see the world through our
clients’ eyes and put their needs and satisfaction first, and receiving
the highest ranking in the J.D. Power Full Service Investor Study once
again is a testament to that commitment,” said Terri
Kallsen, executive vice president and head of Schwab Investor
Services. “Investors today expect a more modern approach to investing
and wealth management – an approach that treats clients the way they
want to be treated, uses a combination of people and technology to make
financial planning and investing easier and more accessible, and
delivers all this at a great value. Our goal is to continually be at the
forefront of delivering on those expectations.”
Since its founding more than 40 years ago, Schwab has expanded its suite
of products and services aimed at full-service investors, particularly
in the area of wealth management. At the end of 2016, Schwab Investor
Services advisory solutions had more than $217 billion in assets under
management. The firm held planning conversations with approximately
132,000 clients in 2016, an 18 percent increase from 2015.
Furthering its commitment to client satisfaction, in February 2017
Schwab introduced a broad-reaching Satisfaction
Guarantee for clients, unique among brokerage firms. If a Schwab
client is not satisfied for any reason, Schwab will refund any related
commission, transaction fee or advisory program fee paid to the firm.*
