SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Charles Schwab has again received the highest ranking among DIY investors in overall satisfaction nationwide in the J.D. Power 2020 U.S. Self-Directed Investor Satisfaction Study. With an index score of 817 on a 1,000-point scale, Schwab scored 31 points above the overall satisfaction industry average, and received the highest scores in the areas of firm interaction, account information, commissions and fees, product offerings and information resources. The firm received this same highest ranking from J.D. Power in 2019.

Charles Schwab senior executive vice president of investor services and marketing Jonathan Craig said, “Our efforts over the past year have been focused on expanding access to investing by continuing to lower costs and develop innovative solutions that suit a range of investor needs, from those early in their investing years to those nearing and in retirement. We’re delighted to see that our approach is resonating with consumers, especially during times of uncertainty when affordable access to investing is more critical than ever.”

Last year, Schwab led the industry in eliminating U.S. stock, ETF and options commissions. Schwab also introduced the first subscription-based financial planning option in the digital advisory service, Schwab Intelligent Portfolios Premium™. Schwab released Schwab Intelligent Income™, a solution designed for people who want a simple, modern way to pay themselves in retirement, or any other time, from their enrolled Schwab Intelligent Portfolios accounts. Over the past year, Schwab has added more than 100 new mobile app features designed to make the investing process easier. In recent years, Schwab has also expanded its suite of products and services aimed at full-service investors, particularly in the area of wealth management, and the company now serves more than $4 trillion in client assets through multiple channels 24/7, including 360 branches.
